Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 June 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Progress in Health platform (the “Service”), operated by Progress in Health Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By registering for or using the Service you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. About Progress in Health

Progress in Health is an online continuing professional development (CPD) platform providing educational content for UK pre-hospital and emergency care clinicians, including paramedics, emergency medical technicians, emergency care assistants, first responders, and student paramedics.

Progress in Health is not an awarding body and is not affiliated with, or approved by, any regulatory or awarding body including any examination board. No qualification, regulated credential, or formal academic award is conferred by completing any course on this platform.

All course content is authored by registered UK healthcare professionals, including clinicians registered with UK clinical regulatory bodies and other appropriately qualified practitioners. We take reasonable care to ensure accuracy and clinical relevance, but content is provided for continuing professional development purposes only.

2. CPD Certificates

Upon completing a course you will receive a Progress in Health Certificate of Completion. This certificate:

  • Evidences that you have completed the course material on this platform on the stated date.
  • Can be used as supporting evidence in your CPD portfolio or professional development record.
  • Is not a regulated qualification, accredited award, or licence to practise.
  • Does not confer competency or clinical authorisation. Clinical competency remains the responsibility of your employer, trust, or clinical governance framework.

Certificates can be verified by third parties using the unique code printed on each certificate at progressinhealth.co.uk/verify. We cannot guarantee that any specific employer or regulatory body will accept our certificates as meeting their CPD requirements.

3. Content accuracy and clinical reliance

Course content is written to align with current UK clinical guidelines and evidence-based practice at the time of publication. Clinical guidance evolves; you are responsible for ensuring your practice reflects your employer's protocols and the most current guidelines.

Nothing on this platform constitutes clinical advice. Content is intended for educational purposes only. You must not rely solely on information from this platform when making clinical decisions. Always follow your employer's policies, protocols, and the direction of your clinical governance lead.

4. Eligibility and account registration

You must be at least 18 years old to register. By creating an account you confirm that:

  • The information you provide during registration is accurate and kept up to date.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
  • You will not share your account with others or allow third parties to access your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe a breach of these terms has occurred.

5. Payment and access

Some courses require a one-time payment. All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (GBP) inclusive of any applicable VAT. Payment is processed at the point of enrolment.

Once enrolled you receive lifetime access to the course materials unless we withdraw the course from the platform (see section 8). Free courses and promotional access granted via discount codes are subject to the same terms.

Refunds. We offer a full refund within 14 days of purchase provided you have not completed more than 20% of the course modules. Refund requests should be sent to contact@prehospitalcpd.co.uk. This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any course content without our written permission.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download platform content.
  • Post content in discussion areas that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, or clinically misleading.
  • Impersonate any other person or misrepresent your professional credentials.

7. Intellectual property

All course content, including text, images, videos, quizzes, and scenarios, is the intellectual property of Progress in Health Ltd or its content authors and is protected by copyright. Your enrolment grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to access the material for your own professional development. No other rights are granted.

8. Platform availability and changes

We aim to keep the platform available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or withdraw course content at any time to maintain accuracy and clinical relevance. Where a paid course is permanently withdrawn we will endeavour to provide reasonable notice and may offer a pro-rata refund at our discretion.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Progress in Health Ltd shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from: reliance on course content for clinical decision-making; interruption or unavailability of the Service; or loss of data.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

10. Privacy

Our use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. By using the Service you consent to the processing of your data as described therein.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
